First contests, first winners, first rewards!
Sorry to keep you waiting, but it was quite a challenge for developers to choose best ideas from all the suggestions you came up with last week. For the moment one prize has already found its happy owner and the rest are about to go to the lucky users!
So our congratulation to the first winners!
(“and the Oscar goes to…”):
- Advanced Defrag contest (August 18, 2010): “the development team are very pleased to announce that Traciatim is the winner of 1-year subscription to the full version of Recoveryer 2010 Ultimate Grant! A big round of applause goes to everyone who participated, for showing us just how much you care. It does not matter whether your idea is positive or negative, we are always open for suggestions that help us improve our service. Thank you!”
- Here is the list of the nicknames to be rewarded from Enplase Research (August 22, 2010):
Reality Check
Michael Crosson
David Wiloch
Hector
videographer
nharding
These users will get MultiStage Recovery licenses soon. We hope to see official comment from the Developer here or on the product download page.
- UPD: contest results from Programming Sunrise, the Developer of Smart Diary Suite (August 19, 2010):
Mr. Lee
Barry Laughton
Natalie
LB
Benjamin
And a little cheer up for those who did not get the prize this time: if you are out to win, next time you will win for sure!
ps: feel free to leave your suggestions considering contest (e.g. ideas of possible rewards from developers) as comments to this post.
Best regards,
Giveaway of the day project team
Re/posts, articles and information that we have no good way to print – may I suggest that you add a print icon that allows the user to print the articles without having to print all non-related data that ends up taking so much added paper and ink. It would be very helpful to me and hopefully many other dottech.org and GOTD users. The time and effort that is put into these websites is obvious and everyone of us who use the websites are very appreciate of all effort that goes into them. However, I (hopefully I’m not alone on this issue) would really appreciate the ability to print some of these long articles – i.e. “12 Best Free Security Software Programs” is just as one example but there are countless others. Anyway, just my thoughts … Thank you for your kind consideration.
How about a small percentage of the software sales profit [LOL

We would like to thank everyone who entered the competition and also all those who voted! It was nice to see so many people respond with such great advices

The following winners will receive a full license of MultiStage Recovery:

Totally Freeware IObit Smart Defrag — ***** Excellent Product
For Windows XP & Vista:
Install IObit Smart Defrag:
-able to schedule defrag
dates & times
-but only defrags what areas
are currently needed to
defrag on the surface of the hard drive.
-therefore reducing unnecessary
defragments on hard drive-which
is very wearing on hard drive.
Vista’s own defrag product, for example;
schedules run times steady to defrag
every month the whole hard drive-
all parts of hard drive are done,
over & over, every month.
