  1. Hi guys and gals. I thought maybe as well as your standard giveaway of the day, you could also get software companies to do real special giveaways at limited numbers. Like ‘ten copies only’, putting them on at a random time each day or so. This will see people regularly hitting the page to see if the limited giveaways have been added yet, because if you miss out – you miss out!

Also, thanks heaps for the giveaways, I can’t afford to buy software and pretty much rely on you guys and freeware as I do a lot of voluntary work which leave me broke, lol – but its all good. :-)

    All the best,

    Trevor

  2. Suggestion to enhance the diary uses:
    Please add following:
    1. Birthday diary
    2. Phone book
    3. E-mail Book
    4. Relatives and their short biography.

  3. One thing I can think of is to allow for manual entry on items, such as Life Factors, especially dreams, in case they don’t fit the provided categories.

Another idea is to use more icons, instead of just having them for Mood have icons for each category, so you can open a drop down list and select by icon. Customizable icons would also be fun, preselected sets to use or the ability to make our own.

  4. Trevor, I guess your idea was good but I don’t think it’s an appropriate things to do . Just “ten copy only” just gonna make people who doesn’t have time missed this opportunity given by this site feel that they were ignored . This site is build for that kind of opportunity, not just “ten copy only” that will last in only for an hour each day . We got 24 hours but only 1 hour needed to click on this site just gonna make things worst . That is my opinion . .

  5. That’s a great thing! I liked it very much! Many useful features, user-friendly interface, onlick access to everything and so on. But it’s so sorry that the software is only on English. I think it would be very nice to translate the interface of it into many languages as it’s worth for future distributing worldwide. As for me it doesn’t matter, as I can English, but for other people it can be important.

  10. While you do have a spellchecker it’s rather odd and doesn’t really recognize names. Here is an example that will make it through your spellchecker. Susan is susan. Both are correct. So that should be fixed as well as the ability to udpate the spell checker file in case you added a wrong spelling.

Second is that while TAB works there is no way to know how far it went, so a ruler would be good or some highlight that tells you to tab 5.

Third issue is that when you do the numeric tree function the numbers should be 1.0 and then 1.1 and then 1.1.2 and so on so if you tab one too many times you realise that what level you are on instead as now 1, 1. 1.

Fourth, once you do a FIND you can keep doing it. You must hit Ctrl F and always do next. It does not remember that you do not want to start from the file and continue where you are — in every case it starts from the beginning even if you are going backwards and don’t realize that it did that. So here my suggestion is that whatever you chose should hold until the next document and then reset to From Beginning or when they tick off another radio button.

And finally, a feature that you should add is a Weight Loss function
so I put in my weight today and can track it against my Goal weight
and tell me the % of how much of my goal loss I have accomplished.

    Sincerely yours,

  11. I think having the software companies give a discounted price for an upgrade of a GOTD program we receive. For instance if we download the Program we can upgrade it to a full version i.e. any updates within a current version or upgrades to newer ones as well as technical support and any bonuses for a discounted price. Say half of the regular price. That way we can upgrade the programs we really like to full version for less.

  12. It would be great to be able to separate the feedback into positive and negative catagories. This way it would be just one or two clicks to see what it is that people like or dislike about the Giveaway for that day.

    Keep up the great work.

  13. After reading the ideas above, I got the idea that if relatives and family members and their med history were included, then the diary could be taken another step and modified to function as a
genealogical record book/family and personal medical history book in one. Incorporating fields for genealogical data as well as medical history would open up a whole new range of potential users, as well as serving to provide a person’s family medical history in addition to their own, all in one handy reference.

I allso think the software should be portable, then it would be possible to take your medical history/family medical history to your doctor’s office all on a USB stick!

  14. My suggestion would me to add a feature to Smart Diary Medical edition to take blood glucose reading for diabetics right from there glucose meter so that they can share the readings with their Doctor and keep track of how they are doing, I did not get a chance to try Smart Diary Medical edition as I missed the giveaway so I don’t know if it has anything like I have suggested above but I think it is an excellent program.

  15. Hi,

First of all thanks for the give away and got that running while the computer (re)starts in: Run section ;)

Secondly please change this on the dutch website:
“EINDGEBRUIKER NEEMT HET VOLLEDIGE RISICO BIJ HET BERUIK VAN DE GEDOWNLOADE SOFTWARE”

The word “Beruik” as in sniffing on the sofware. Just change Beruik” to “Gebruik”:)
Like this: “EINDGEBRUIKER NEEMT HET VOLLEDIGE RISICO BIJ HET GEBRUIK VAN DE SOFTWARE”

    My idea actually is;
Some kind of a add a “GiveAwayRegister Tool’ that enales you by some programs (I understand not all use the register keys) to export and import. Reason is that I got alot of programs (thank to you guys) and it is very hard to have to make to do a “format” drive and restore what you really want to have.

I am close to a format again and not all programs are to be added soon on the GAOTD.

    Thanks for reading though :)

  16. I would have to agree it needs a better spellcheck with the ability to add words to your dictionary. It may be supposed to do that now but all I get is an error message. Also it would be nice to paste entries from the right click menu instead of only the toolbar.

  19. Smart Diary Suite Medical Edition is a great program for someone like myself and my sister. I have a medical problem that will cause my death and I take a lot of medications. I can keep track of them and how I feel on certain days, along with being able to remember different problems to discuss with the Dr.
My sister fell ill in March and this will help her a lot. Her medical problem has affected her memory, so this program will be a life saver for her when I can not be here with her. Thanks again and keep up the good work!! People who are really ill will find this program so helpful. Thanks again for giving us something that will help us track our medical problems and medications.

  20. Allow it to print and change for formatting of the page the way you want it to be – minus some of the columns – adding only the columns you want it to print and where you want them placed on the page. Also allow the text size and type to be the way you want it.
