I really enjoyed Turtle Odyssey 2. I would appreciate a repeat of these game giveaways: Ozzy Bubbles and Turtle Odyssey.

There was a great jigsaw program given away awhile back, but I can’t remember the name of it. Hard drive crashed and we lost it. I would really love to see that one again. You could add your own images and choose the number and shape of the pieces. It was great.

#9. Was it Jigsaw Puzzle 2 by Tibo Software? I love that one…I can’t stop making new puzzles from nice photos I find on the web! (I had to buy it, I can’t be without it!) I know, sad, isn’t it… (Jigsaw Puzzle 2 ENTRY version includes only 5 preinstalled puzzles – which is fine since you can add your own images as much as you want- is only 9.95 from the tibosoftware website, by the way)

#6. 80 days won’t work on my laptop either, but works fine on my desktop…there’s some pretty intensive graphics needs in that game…you may just not have enough “oomph” to your computer…

I am not-so-young, and with an arm/hand mobility issue, so anything not requiring speedy mouse or keyboard work is preferred. Pretty pictures a plus!

1st person shooter with hideously overpowered weapons and unbelievable carnage. By the way, as far as sims go, I think the likes of Jane’s Hotel absolutely suck. I was writing some hotel software and downloaded the game as part of my research. It had nothing to do with how a real hotel is run.

I was just thinking that, with games like Command & Conquer and Hidden & Dangerous being released for free to promote the sales of newer titles for their respective companies, wouldn’t it be a good idea to talk to bigger companies about free one-day releases of previous titles to do the same thing. For instance, think of the buzz EA would get and the hits your site would get for a one-day only release of the original Battlefield 1942 to promote Battlefield 1943? Just a crazy thought. It’s probably a little too complicated to put to use, but was trying to think outside the box for those who aren’t just looking for replays of previous giveaways. I enjoy this site and appreciate everything. This isn’t a complaint. Just trying to shake things up a little. Thanks!

Hi GOTD again, After reading posts from other folks, I realised I said the wrong name – the game I was thinking of was ‘The Treasures of Montezuma’.

I am another person who would love to see a Nancy Drew Mystery, like ‘Last Train to Blue Mountain Canyon’, ‘Lights, Camera, Curses!’ or ‘The Phantom of Venice’, for example.

I’d appreciate receiving Magic Match – the genie’s journey. This series is “similar” to Around the World in 80 days. Does anyone know of any other similar games? I enjoy games that have various levels that get more difficult. thank you.

My 1st post here. I wanted to say that it’s here I discovered Treasures of Montezuma, what an awesome game.

Instead of asking to bring it back (I also lost it after an OS upgrade), this one really deserve for us a purshase to encourage the people who worked on that title. My girlfriend and I spent so many hours on it.

I encourage all of you who also think it’s the best game they have tried here in the last 2 years to purshase the game and say a big thank you to the programmers.

My 2 cents.

I really miss the old old games like Biomenace, Commander Keen, and Duke Nukem. If there are any upgrades of those games, I would love to get them. I also liked Rise of the Third triad, and some card games. Thanks for all the great games you have given us and please don’t stop.

I prefer the old fashioned text adventure games. If they don’t make those anymore how about some real time strategy games like Deep Quest or Dune 2000?

I also enjoy Hidden Item Picture games (such as Mysteryville), and Match 3 games (Rise of Atlantis and Around the World in 80 Days).

I see several people want Saga back. I never could get that thing to play on my computer, even with tweaking the settings due to no graphics card. And yes, I tried installing a graphics card but my system only supports 115W power, nothing higher.

I love the platform games like Robbox and Dungeon Rider. I can’t get dosbox to work and I really miss all the great platformers like Jetpack and Dangerous Dave.

I’ll try not to complain that the utilities programs are still being offered daily, yet we can’t get games more than on weekends and none since April. Having withdrawals here, lol.

I would love either of the Clash N Slash games, Shape Shifter, Hammerheads, Trijinx and Fairies. I had them all but on my other hard drive and can’t get keys off that drive to install on new one.

SHOOTERS, SHOOTERS AND MOOOORRRREEE SHOOTERS! Puzzle games are so prolific here, there must be more to life than puzzles. Action games, RPG’s if you absolutely must. Anything but more puzzle games. Having said that though, if you ever come across a game like Marble Drop (very old, not even compatible with XP) I would like to see that.

I know this will make me sound dumb; but I’m willing to take the chance…one person mentioned haven’t we heard of backing up? But my understanding is that the game has to be downloaded AND installed the same day. So if we backed it up; would it then not have to be reinstalled? That’s what I was always afraid of that even though I back up, when I reinstalled it wouldn’t let me reactivate it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. But, please be kind.

Realore is my favorite! Great game play, classic, simple and addictive…all the signs of a greatness. I like GAOTD’s relationship with the authors; I have personally help addict several hundred new users and I would love to see a quarterly or yearly recognition for the game makers/software authors. I’d like to see a good…I mean EXCELLENT! Shooter in the genre of either an assassin or a hitman, which starts out reasonably simple and then progressively gets more involved and difficult, involving many different scenes, situations, and results, making things realistic to the point if you botch the killing, you have to figure out how to escape the scene without being noticed or caught. And somehow keep it to a tight program that doesn’t require gazillions of resources and steal tons of memory.

I know that all sounds impossible, but hey, that’s your job, not mine!

I’ll try once more as my other post didn’t make it here or the moderators are impartial as to what gets posted. I said nothing wrong. All I did was respond to a question as to what one would like to see here. I suggest once again if the moderator Gods would let me post. I suggest going back to giving the games away 7 days a week like they use to. My point was this, Game GAOTD wanted to cut away from 7 days to weekends only so they could give away new stuff instead of repeat after repeat. Well, it never did happen. We still see repeat after repeat even on weekends. I have no problem with it being repeats. Once again I ask the GGAOTD team to please bring the games back to 7 days a week. Afterall, they were all repeats as well. Just makes since to have the games offered all the time like it was over a year ago. Yous are the ones that said 2009 was going to be big. What did I miss ?

Quite a long time ago, around 2000, I ran across a flash game called “Desk Destroy.” You used a flamethrower, a hammer, a machine gun, termites, ants and anything else you could think of to destroy your virtual desktop. With everyone on vacation why not rerun some games like MiniGolf, Infinite Jigsaw Puzzle, etc. just to keep your site active. Maybe a game a week until vacation ends.

I recently had to change out the hard drive in my computer and lost one of my favorite games – Around The World in 80 Days. Even though I wanted to wipe the program completely off my computer when I couldn’t get out of China… I resisted the urge and, of course, am glad that I did.
It would be great if that could be offered one more time!

Suggestion for a rerun? You had a game about a year and a half ago that was called Swap N Fall. I loved it and lost it. I would love if you posted that again. :) Thanks!

Welcome back, albeit a little late, but I’ve been reveling in the fact that you ARE back and didn’t think to welcome you until now. Hope you had a good vacation/trip! Being message 780(!) I figure you should get to this around Christmas-time, but after posting message 700-something, it occurred to me that I didn’t give you the full name of the game I was requesting! StupidMe…Anyway, it’s “Ancient Quest of Saggarah” – not just “Saggarah.” I hope you have it somewhere in your “stash,” as it really is quite challenging on many levels – it’s not just a simple “match 3″ over-and-over-and-over.
Anyway, glad you’re back and will keep checking, as always, your Sat./Sun. offerings. I don’t know how you keep doing it, but thank you and I appreciate your work very much and I have yet to get “all bent out of shape” if you put up a game I don’t care for…there’s always next time. :<)

4. Ice Cream Tycoon
5. Aveyond: Lord of Twilight

Warship Extreme would be a good one to get the full version of. I’ve always wanted to find a real 3D warship-style game, but all i’ve found has been half hour trials.

Shrenik, don’t expect to see that kind of stuff on here GOTD has games from small companies, small compared to Rockstar and EA Games, companies that want cheap advertising. Not big budget games like those.

I think you guys should try to get some newer ish games? Maybe LFS or rfactor, those are some great simulation games and you guys don’t seem to have enough simulation games that are my kind. I love this site but I mainly seem to be more attracted to the main one, because well, Game giveaway doesn’t have my kind of games on it sadly..

I was wondering a way to fill a game giveaway every day or more often might be to bring back some of them old first person shooters and adventure story’s, that came out to run on dos and trs80 and other computers I know that some of them have been modified to run in windows by fans (This one has been ported to run in both windows and linux by the original author). Dungeons of Daggorath, it came out for the old trs80 color computer.
