  2. What was the problem that others had? I don’t think I had one, but haven’t used the software yet either…

  6. Yeah I had tried to download the WinX DVD Platinum like the last hour or 2, and I kept getting the “Sorry you missed this offer” message at the Software’s website. Someone had said that Digiarty was located in UK and that their time was different than ours?? Don’t know if thats the case or not?? I was going to post a message on the board about it but just figured that, Oh well! LOL. But its great that you guys at GOTD and Digiarty are offering this again!! Too cool!! ;) Thank you so very much!! You guys R-O-C-K!! :)

  7. Hi,

I’m new to this site and looked at the archives and regret I haven’t found it sooner. I’m having trouble installing WinX DVD Ripper today. I’ve downloaded the Setup.exe and readme.txt files and unzipped them. When I run Setup.exe, I get a message “Failed to connect. Please try again later.” Is this because I chose not to install the update program? I chose not to because I noticed from the readme that this free version doesn’t support software upgrades, and I didn’t want more apps running on my work PC. Thanks for any advice.

  8. Hi!

For novices: all the reruns are published on the main site http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ as the second giveaway of the day.

For those who receive “Key can not be decrypted” error: you need to re-download the package. It was updated because new version of the program has been launched.

    Have a nice day!

  9. Have WinME. Downloaded files using Mozilla but when try to open I get the message “Activating … This software was provided to you by Giveawayoftheday.com – Connecting to Giveawayoftheday.com checking giveaway availability…

And nothing more happens. Have turned off my Avast Virus checker incase that is stopping the setup.exe file working but has made no difference.

If you can offer any solutions that would be really great!

  10. I downloaded this successfully on 1/15. I saw it again today and thought it must be an important update so I downloaded it again. Now it won’t work on either of my computers. I’m so sad that it messed up a perfectly good program. :-( I get an “Illegal System DLL Relocation message” – “The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\System32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows System DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.”

Can this be fixed and can I have another shot at making this work on my two computers? Thanks!

  12. Unfortunately though, it looks like this new package is not running properly, many are getting an error message (when attempting to start the program) that reads:
“WinX_DVD_Ripper_Platinum – Illegal System DLL Relocation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.”

Too bad, I was hoping to give this platinum version a try…

  13. I installed WinX DVD Ripper yesterday but did not have a chance to open it until today. I am getting the message: “The system DLL User32.dll was relocated in memory. The relocation occurred because the DL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied a range reserved for Windows system DLLs.” I had downloaded after the team said it was the newer version. Is there a way I can fix this?
