Hello and welcome everyone! These days Project Giveaway of the Day becoming more and more popular within the Internet so we’ve decided that it’s time for our own blog. So, we’re proudly present to you the Giveaway of the Day Project Team blog.
This blog will be run by the creators of GAotD, our friends, helpers and partners. Here we’ll post everything new within the project – some new features and how they are working, answer to frequently asked questions (FAQs) and who knows whatever else.
The GAotD Project is very young (well, it’s about two mounth) but we’ve already been mentioned at Yahoo! Directory search (in the section New and Notable sites) and got some very good press about our initiative:
As a die-hard fan of all things free, I am so bookmarking this. It’s like found gold. — Rick Broida (Lifehacker)
Pretty cool idea, almost better than “Freeware” ‘Give-Away-Ware’ hmmm,…SWEET! – Commentary by thunder7(Lifehacker)
…Its surely worth a bookmark and I’ll keep tracking for updates through their RSS Feed. (TechBuzz)
The plan at Giveaway of the Day is to work with software publishers to offer fully-licensed versions of their software for free for one day as a promotional tool. Publishers gain the word of mouth advertising that comes from happy users acquiring a full license to their products, and Giveaway of the Day gets to be the ones offering the giveaways. And users get free software – so theoretically it’s a win-win-win situation. That’s not a bad plan! – Jason Clarke (DownloadSquad)
Thanks everyone for the warm words! Also we’d like to mention our friends form Italy at Geekissimo (who are making trackbaks on our giveaways daily) and all our visitors! We’ll try our best to bring to you as many world-wide known software products as it’s possible.
Alex K.
Good luck for your project from your Italian friends!!
You guys are great! From your Canadian friend.
yes, what they said from your american friends as well.
What a brilliant plan for everyone to win, perfect. Thankyou. All my friends have been alerted to this new phenomenon.
gr8 work man
good luck from ur Indian Friends(cuz everyone mentioned it)
I have to say more. Once the kids are off to school, the forst thing I do is get a drink, turn the computers on and spend a good 20 minutes checking this site, adding comments and then feeling pleased with myself for finding such a fantastic site as yours. I hope that you repeat the first mnths givaways at some point as i think there will be a lot more consumers interested. Maybe you could have a request section, where we can check back on what we may have missed (which you already have)and place a vote on those that we would like to see again. You could perhaps on one or both of the weekend days have a second givaway that features previous givaways.
Thankyou so much for this brilliant site.
great idea by Whiterabbit-UK
What a great idea! Looks like most of the titles are for Windows. Hope you will be carrying Mac software too at some point.
Ok, now you need “Educational Software Giveaway of the Day”…wouldn’t that be great? Do it quick, or I just might have to!
Good stuff. Thanks!
Needless to say, I was impressed with the site, but more than alittle frustrated with my first experiences.
Todays NovaPDF for instance, provides a registration key code with no place to register Opend the program and tried thr Registration option in “About” and got an “Invalid” popup, telling me to copy and paste, which is what I had done.
Tweak Master was another farce. To get the free registration, you’re expected to accept an offer from one of 70, supposedly available.
There were only 3 showing, none of which were of any use to me, with Dialup.
It made me think of the old addage, ” If it seems too Good to be True”
I’m more concerned about the number of people I informes about the site, thinking it was such a great find.
All I want to say is THANKYOU!!!!
This is truly a great blog! Keep on posting such interesting subjects and you will get far! James Spade from http://HealthReviews.org
what a novel idea, great going guys! wish you all the fame and luck for this :)
This is truly a great blog! Keep on posting such interesting subjects! I already bookmarked your blog and I will recommend it to some of my friends. James Spade from http://HealthReviews.org
I know I’m “looking a gift horse in the mouth”, but if it’s not re-installable, then it only lasts until the next time your system croaks.
PS. healthreviews.org looks pretty dodgy to me – yep! – Blogspamming!
Thank you for a great site! Love the giveaways :)

Thank You Giveaway of the day
Not understanding all the details I wonder if you could explain a bit more. Sorry….Also, happy new year and thanks for helping!
Well, OK! This looks great, Gary!
I am very new to blogs, having used them just a couple of times with students who were already accustomed to writing in them.
But I am excited at the possibility that this medium could help us share lessons, ideas, and materials after MyGateway goes down.
Let’s hear from others.

Can’t download from freeware library AVI Classic. Endless links but no download button??
From eXsoccer Team: Good luck from Vietnamese friends :)
I’m getting discouraged because there are never any Mac giveaways. Shall I just trash your bookmark, or is there hope?
Great idea, but some I have downloaded have been try-before-you-buy software, which usually are already free to download anytime. If it only works for a limited time, it’s isn’t freeware to me.
First off, I love your site. I’ve downloaded a few things that I found out later I didn’t need but that’s the great advantage of this site. If you decide you don’t like something you are not out any money. I do have one complaint. I downloaded Melomania which I love. I’m sure it was activated. I loaded about 30 CD’s and it worked like a charm. Then I started getting a message that it was only good for 30 days. I agree with Whiterabbit, it would be nice to be able to vote for a return engagement of a program you like.
Great Idea!
