It’s due to you (for sure we mean our visitors) we have got this far. And now we are dying to share some events and facts with you. Just a short milestones review – hope you’ll like it!
Forgot to mention, you guys should do a press kit. A lot of other sites have one, and I have the need of a high-res/quality GOTD logo, front-on and tilted.
Don’t forget Almeza Software, with their flagship product LeaderTask, the Wondershare dudes with almost all their catalog jumping in here every now and then, and many more.
Happy anniversary !
And thank you very much to the GOTD Team for their efforts and to the companies for their generous participation and nice offers (of which I have personally taken more)…..
Always great Programs. What I would like to see is the name of the Program (as shown on the Box in the Email)in the Header/Subject Line of the Email. Like todays, 10/28/2011, program. Giveaway of the day – DVD Copy Pro. Hope you will give some consideration to this.
Happy Birthday GOTD Team! I’ve been with you guys for a long time. Your website has been my daily fix for informative, enlightening, interesting and downright hysterical comments regarding the myriad of programs offered over the years. I may not have WRITTEN comments on the many programs I’ve downloaded and installed, but I certainly have appreciated your making them available to me and everyone else. Thank you. I really do consider us BFF’s.
I’d like to second the idea above (#3) that GAOTD consider an accessable index of the following (in order of usefulness to me)
-software titles offered, sorted by name, with links to day offered and comments
-software titles offered, sorted by generic type of software, with links to day offered and comments
-software titles offered, sorted by vendor, with links to day offered and comments
My main reason for wanting this is because the user community often offers very useful insights about the use (and value) of each offering along with suggestions for other titles or vendors, better practices organization, etc.
Often I find myself asking me: wasn’t there a GAOTD on something that would solve the problem I am having this minute? Wasn’t there suggestions about preventing this problem using the offered and other software?
And finally I ask me: WHEN THE HECK WAS THAT ANYWAY? I seldom can find it if it was more than a few weeks before.
Please consider this idea.
A useable alternative would be (#13 above) more info in the Subject line so I could search through retained emails (I have a few years worth but can’t really visually search these titles).
Just suggesting . . .
Thanks for taking this novel concept and doing such a nice job.
Wish you could see my desktop. lol….it’s a who’s who of what’s been given away here. Ran out of space on the desktop long ago and had to start putting shortcuts into folders.
Thanks very kindly for all that you’ve done for us. Namely. introducing us to software i never knew existed.
Really….thanks.
Jeff
Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday!!! 8D and many more. Thank you for all the different software products that you have brought to us all. I have enjoyed everyone of them that I have downloaded. Also, learned so much. Your site is the very first stop I go to everyday to see what is new and interesting to tryout. Thank you again. Keep up the good work. Have a nice day GAOTD.
I have been a fan and a daily visitor to your site almost from the beginning. During this time, I have learned a lot about the structure of programs, different aspects about computers, as well as received a lot of wonderful programs! I have commented a number of times, perhaps not as often as I should, as I have had various concerns about a specific programs from time to time. However, now I would just like to say thank you and your teams for a wonderfully informative site! Happy birthday!
Many thanks guys for all of the hardwork you have put into this site over the last few years. The software is not only useful but appreciated. It opens ones eyes to the smaller companies producing high end software, now please keep the MAC stuff coming …
My favorite moment of the day is finding out what giveawayoftheday has to offer. Computers themselves are the most fun games but with social, business and personal rewards other than a score. Wise, generous vendors offering exciting new possibilities of uses for the single most important invention since electricity for free…..Brilliant! Comments, Education, Advice from peers……Excellent. Almost every program I have ever purchased, I first downloaded for free here. Thanks and keep elevating the bar.

Has anyone made a seachable list of all the giveaways together with the vendors of the softwares, including the games?
How about repeating the very early giveaways?
