No biggie. However, as a suggestion, please reduce the number of movie converter giveaways, and more of other more ‘utility’ giveaways, like a word processor, tweak program, or something. -thanks.

Hi GAOTD Team, As a suggestion when there is maintenance or any problems which mean that there won’t be a giveaway that day please could you put a link to the announcement where the software would normally be rather then on the right hand side of the screen as it is not obvious on first opening the page that there has been an announcement.

I agree with cartman, we suggest you less movie converters ;) and more software like Liquid Story Binder or MagicScore School 5.342, because we can’t find similar freeware software…

By the way, I’d like to take this opportunity to mention that many of us rely on GOTD to be the first line of defense to ensure that the software is free of virus & spyware. We presume that GOTD has done the necessary due diligence, which in turn influences our assessment as to whether the virus-alert from our PC’s anti-virus is a false-positive. Please keep up your good work in this regard.
Suggestion, perhaps if possible a hint that their will no software before the midnight hour. If possible something along the lines of today’s free software is! However, tomorrow we will be having maintenance, please stop by to check on our progress. This would keep people from staying up late and being frustrated, honestly I don’t do this so its not a big deal for me. :) You guys are great so if you don’t do this its fine, just a tip.

Of course it would get a high % of thumbs up. Adobe Photoshop sales prices vary from $300 to up to $1000. No S**T it would be a great giveaway.
Be serious, Do you really think that “Adobe” would accept to offer this programs for free(even for just one day). GAOTD could bend over backwards,do the split,jump over the moon etc… It will not happen, so stop hoping and dreaming. Just be thankful to the programmers who do offer us their products for free.
We should all be aware that GAOTD team`s work is not easy.
Try this: Go to any merchant, choose a product and try to get it for free. He will think you are nuts. So imagine talking a merchant into giving his product for free, not just for one but for many. Not easy at all.
We should all be thankful to GAOTD team their hard work.

To the GIVEAWAY of the day team. a suggestion. Will be nice to have a Menu called “Web Site” next to the [Home] menu. That will hold all the web site of GIVEAWAY of the day (http://giveawayoftheday.com/,
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/, http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/freeware/, others) With a popup that say when you GIVEAWAY of the day team, will be at the site.

Or, try getting us more Wondershare software (with keys please… that way I don’t lose them :( during virus cleanups and stuff)I particularily liked DemoCreator, and I would have gotten quiz creator, if I hadn’t been at my grandparents where they have a dial-up connection.
And you couldn’t have mentioned this yesterday? I’m over here dl’ing an 8mb IE security update on dial-up, and I only use IE for the updates, and decide load GAOTD while I wait . . . kind of a waste today.
I could,’t sleep this morning, got up came to the computer and no GAOTD, I knew it was there some how the computer was playing a joke on me.
Now, after repairing the beat-up computer, (Hey, it had it coming,) after deigning me my favorite fix in the morning,I see the reason why the favorite was not there, and have to apoligise to my Hewlett Packard.
Now I will go back to bed and dream about what will be on the monitor with my morning cup of coffee tomorrow,……… Good Night!
I disagree with #2. This is the perfect medium for giving away different applications that have the same functionality. The website is meant to provide feedback to each business as to what to change and what to improve for customer satisfaction. We may see a feature given away in one application that another does not have and that we might prefer. We can then provide feedback to the developing business.
Please bring back the daily game giveaway ! PLEASE !!!! I once remember a person by the name, Slava who in so many words claimed many, many, months ago that the games would return shortly.

I just found GOTD a day or two ago, and downloaded my first giveaway yesterday. I got hooked on my first download, then wham, no giveaway due to maintenance. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.

Keep your announcements in the upper right hand corner, it’s really not hard to figure that one out. I don’t see how it could be any easier to download and register the software. Just ignore such comments. I’m addicted also but totally understand maintenance. See you soon GAOTD! I haven’t had a complaint in all the months I’ve been coming here. How could anyone complain, you’re offerings are free. And the converters are not a problem, as sometimes I love trying out different ones. Wish I didn’t have to read all the whining. At least they can’t give me a thumbs down today. Ha! :-)
