Gaming weekend with a great new game!
Hello everyone,
Today I have great news about an upcoming game giveaway for this weekend! We will present you not only the new game but a new concept in gaming – MMO and RTS in one package.
This new game — I will not tell you the name yet, so don’t ask :) — allows you to build your own kingdom and army and fight or trade with other players in a 3D environment. You can choose your race and your side in the battle between two factions, you can become a great commander or a skillful trader, you can manage your knights or your peasants – there are many paths to success in this game. Diplomacy and communication will also play an important role, since guild alliances with other players greatly increase your chances of survival in the world of dragons and giants. BTW, building a nice, safe fortress is a wise decision. :)
Be sure to let your friends know about the importance of checking our website this Saturday or Sunday. Post the information about our new giveaway in your blogs or on your website, if you have one – multiplayer games feel so much better when you have lots of players around, especially if there are many friends you can play with.

You guys are doing a fine job. My only regret is that sometimes I am too darn busy to remember to check out the site for the daily giveaway.
Whenever I find something worthwhile and use it, I make mention of it to friends and clients alike. I’m certain it results in more than a few sales for the publishers who are smart enough to let us try so others buy! Keep up the good work!

I won’t tell which game it is, but I’m almost certain I know. And if It is what I think it is, absolutely everybody has to get it, it is the best RTS I have ever played.
I hope my good old laptop can run it… Are there any specs available yet?
Now I have something to look forward to this weekend! I’m already playing two of these types of games online and I know there are others out there. Thank you for all you do and offering these things for free.
Thank you, Slava for the heads up on this weekends game. Looking forward to it. I still think it would be a great idea to give away a game on Wednesdays as it would break up that long wait inbetween the weekends even if the game was to be a repeat on Wednesdays.

Now I won’t be as disappointed that once again this site’s “target” group doesn’t include me.
I’ll have more “real-time” this weekend to do more enjoyable/productive things, than wait around for GOTD to offer something my computer can’t use & I have no interest in.
It’s not a total loss. There still is the “forum” to find, share, review, comment & discuss the merit of “this or that” we discover.
I still haven’t mastered “Age of Japan 2″ yet… LOL 8-)

The game download is 380MB

Thanks for the update! I play a lot of RPG/RTS games but I have yet to enter the online gaming world. I am more of a flying solo type of person. However, you have me intrigued. This may be my entrance into online gaming… my husband will say you have a lot to answer for! Hahahahaha! :-p

wooooooohooooooooooo slave would love to engage in a online game again without monthly fees. I loved FF11 i think it was and Diablo till ppl started cheating hope this is a good one can’t wait to give it a try .. Ty GGAOTD for all that you do and just to say i think one person that posted here has a great alternative to having a game on wed and one weekend day if at all possible so it doesn’t seem like we are waiting forever.
I’m not sure if it will run on a 96MB video card, We don’t have anything that old to test with.
The game does not expire. There are 2 or 3 features you can turn on for a fee if you really enjoy the product, but it is possible to play for years without spending a dime, especially if you have friends that can join you for the multi player questing.
It is actually fun but difficult to play without this extra feature IF you download the game from the site, but do to the deal Slava negotiated, the version Deal Of The Day visitors get comes with a bunch more stuff, making the game more fun even if you never spend another penny.
By download from the site, I meant directly from the developer site.
Using the Give Away of the Day Promotion will give you a special registration worth over double of what is normally given away.

Can I ask, just when does the weekend start for you [GGOTD]? For me it does and always has started on Friday night. It is Friday night now and I am running around in never ending circles trying to find the place where you are hiding the games. I follow links which take me to “The Blog” then “The Blog” sends me elsewhere. I try Home, but wait….I am back where I was previously. I can understand that you need to get a break from the daily grind of pumping out games daily but…. If you must restrict it to weekends at least make them easily accessible and more importantly easy to find. I find it extremely frustrating to say the least to be running all over the place just to find a little game that for the most part does not need a lot of intelligence. I mean it is not brain surgery to put them in one spot, is it? I read the blurb about this weekends supposedly super duper game!! But where the heck is it??? I am not a happy camper!!!
For what will this game need a browser???

sweet mmo and a rts game but i think thos are games for online play right . hope the games are small enough for dial-up to download or compress the games in a .rar thos work great for making the size smaller

Technically Friday is a weekday (schools on Friday) and Saturday/Sunday is weekend i am guessing they go by that.

tried the game… couldnt read anything and not gonna screw up my other games by down grading my video drivers

this website has gone down hill fast when it comes to game giveaways. i no longer talk about it with anyone and i took it off my blog. i’ve yet to download a game since the weekend only switch.
i’m so disapointed that this game is being offered for two days, it’s not even really a free version of a game. please start bringing back the real games, so far it’s been nothing but disapointment.

Well nice game but not a full version so I played a while anyways got to where I needed troops 29.95 and no guarantee what troops you get my goodness talk about all the trappings of an expensive addiction I could almost smell a burning (ra(k pipe in the background Hi I’m Jim and I’m a saga addict couldnt find the delete switch fast enough

Grrr…tried to dl this early this morning and it got to 1 sec left and said I needed more space…so I ran yesterdays GOTD and used add/remove to rid of unused programs…NOW I GET THIS PAGE A PAGE THAT POPS UP FROM EXPLORER SAYING CHECK MY INTERNET SETTINGS,,,THEY ARE FINE (OVIOUSLY) AND TO CHECK THE FEED TO THE DOWNLOAD…
I can’t understand why there are so many people who posted that are upset about this game. First of all, it sounds like a great game and I can’t wait to download it. Besides that, you’re getting the game for FREE so if you don’t like it, don’t download it. I can’t see the point in whinning about it.

The game is Saga. I’ve been playing for weeks and enjoy it as an alternate to my “main” games. Very interesting twist on the old RTS.

One BIG hint to new players . . . don’t trade or sell ANY units/cards until you play a bit and understand the values of each unit. Most newbies will make this mistake and there will be scammers who will abuse them.
