Like others, I didn't want a trial version. I hardly call this a "give away"! It's a good thing I didn't rely on this application for any mission-critical work. My biggest regret is that I passed along the "give away" information to friends and family, who were also disappointed.

Also, several people had to uninstall it because it completely messed up cut/copy/paste functionality to-from Excel and other applications.

I don't know how today's previous post was sent. My mouse was never near the 'submit comment' link! That post doesn't make sense because I had no time to finish writing it when it decided to send itself but if it is posted (I seriously doubt it will) it is clear that I am complaining about Model Analyzer.

In post #18 I expressed concerns about the status of my registration, concerns that went unanswered. I interpreted the lack of response to my simple question as an statement to the fact that I was running a full copy.

That turned out to be a big mistake on my part because as a result of that interpretation I have lost 10 days of work. Today, 15 days after Model Analyzer for Excel was offered, it went to trial mode.

Most software I use makes it clear whether it is running in demo mode (or limited version) or not. Model Analyzer for Excel does not. I was able to use it for 10 days without a warning or a message, so I assumed all was okay.

Had I known that the copy I installed was not fully registered, I would have searched and found this Blog entry (or for that matter the messages posted in the forums) in time to ensure I had a fully registered copy. Think about it, if the software is running fine, why would I look for a way to fix it?

I like GAOTD. People tend to help each other and once in a while (like in this case) the developers get involved too. I am not upset about the fact that I don't have the software. Frankly, I can't afford it but I found it useful to manage for my meager finances.

I know there is no way I can recover my work at this point in time when all the time windows that the developers offered to folks who knew they did not have a fully registered program are closed.

If my loss of my time and effort had been caused by me, I wouldn't even be writing this comment, but the developers clearly explained that they couldn't handle all the registrations due to an unexpected high volume of queries and therefore some folks never had a chance to register it.

I suspect that this message will be ignored; for all I know it may not even be posted but if it is, maybe somebody will read it and be better prepared to handle these kind of situations without a large waste of time and effort.

@#18: Hear, hear. I am in the dark on this issue, as well. Maybe Jabsoft should offer Model Analyzer on GAOTD again sometime soon to make up for the recent experience .. :)

Hello,

I had all the problems folks mention here; complains about my internet connection, messages about invoices and so forth.

I simply could not get this to work, but left it installed just in case. When I saw this blog entry yesterday I tried to run the "Model Analyzer" and now I am not sure if it is working in demo mode or in full registered mode.

I am not too keen to check "Register Model Assistant Suite" because I don't know if "Model Assistant Suite" is the same as "Model Analyzer" or maybe lose the license.

Is there a simple way to check if "Model Analyzer" is fully registered? I would really appreciate any help.

I have also been getting no joy trying to register this. Started with "no internet connection" and progressed to "you have not sent us an invoice". I saw Jabsoft's posting about the new code and the limited window to use it after it expired. So I am still getting "no invoice".

I was not checking this everyday. I expected some more obvious announcement and a little more leeway in registering this, considering how badly the system behaved. Guess not.

Please advise where to send the invoice. I will bill you for the time I wasted.
